In case anyone’s wondered, I
can account for my lengthy absence from the world of blogging as a result of a two-and-a-half
week trip to South India. I met up with some old friends and made some new ones.
Spent three days in the Mudulamai National Forest in Tamil Nadu.
Took a jeep safari through
the Bandipur Tiger Reserve. No tigers but plenty of elephants, chetal, gaur, and
sambar.
Even saw an electric-blue
kingfisher but he was too quick for a clear photo.
Interesting side trip to the
hill station of Ooty and time in good-old Bangalore and also Chennai, a city new to me. A good
trip all around.
