We checked out another first-time eatery the other night: The Highlander (Yelp site here). A small strip mall family-run outfit, The Highlander specializes in Scottish and English food, Scotch whiskey, and beers from the British Isles. Two of us had steak and ale pie with chips and another had traditional fish and chips. All the food was excellent and the portions were on the border between large and huge.
You need to get to The Highlander well before 8:00pm closing because they make up only as much food in advance as they expect to serve in a day. Thus, even at 6:30 no Scotch eggs remained and we had the last two steak and ale pies.
While this time we didn't go for any of the more outré items like hagis, based on our first visit we are willing to bet that anything on the menu is good and, in any event, The Highlander is definitely worth a visit for a leisurely meal.
