Chai Ling, one of the leaders of the students at Tianamen Square in 1989, subsequently become a Christian and has written her memoirs in "A Heart for Freedom." I finished it a day ago.
Of her fascinating account and valuable insights one stands out, a Chinese proverb: "Kill the chicken to shock the monkey" written in connection with the violent military crackdown on the students but of general Machiavellian utility in many spheres.
Really, the book is worth the read.
