The hashtag #bringbackourgirls has received support from the highest levels and ridicule from those who wonder how on God's earth can a Twitter hashtag can aid one whit in the rescue of the girls kidnapped by Boko Haram. Count me among the latter.
But for those who are interested in what someone who knows what she's talking about you can go to Michelle Hughes's Rule of Law blog and read her posts here and here. Michelle muses aloud about the failures of the Nigerian (and their American advisers) security threat analysts. In short, how could anyone not have seen this coming and have prepared for it?
