Thanksgiving

Recollection and thanksgiving should characterize our lives. Both tôrâ and the epistles of Paul make clear that these virtues characterize the lives of those who follow the God of the Christian faith--or at least they should. I am very thankful for the past week in which we enjoyed a family vacation. From a beautiful setting in the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri

to fun on the water, there was much for which I am thankful.

Returning to my summer work tomorrow will generate its own grounds for thanksgiving but I am confident that I will regularly recall the earlier rest from my ordinary labors.
